Friendship and Fellowship

Truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3)

Here we read about one of the most comforting concepts that a Christian can have – fellowship (companionship) with Almighty God. But the message does not end there; we also have the same companionship with the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ – the One who willingly gave His life on the cross so that anyone who puts their trust in Him to have their sins forgiven is accepted as forgiven by God. Why is this? It is because Jesus gave His life in place of ours; He died that we might live! And He did all that, so that, in simple terms, we could become friends with God.

John 15:13-14 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Jesus has laid down His life that we might be friends with Him and the Eternal Father. Accept the hand of friendship while it is still available, and peace and comfort will fill your heart.
